6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pointed towers and gables
Many small towers with pointed tops and steep gables crowd the roofline. Print friendly adapts these thin tips to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps each one.
- One piece with the ground
The Alhambra Apartments is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Alhambra Apartments takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Alhambra Apartments
Brooklyn's Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood is home to the Alhambra Apartments, at 500–518 Nostrand Avenue. Montrose Morris designed the building, and developer Louis F. Seitz built it in 1889–90. It faces the architecturally notable Girls High School across Nostrand Avenue.
It was an early American example of a multiple-family building planned with large apartments for wealthy tenants. Its design includes six towers, plus loggias, gables, arcades and elaborate terracotta decoration. Its styles are given as Romanesque Revival and Queen Anne. The city's Landmarks Preservation Commission designated it a landmark in 1986.
