5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Dome and small cupola
The main dome is a smooth curve that shows layer lines, and a small domed cupola stands nearby. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the curves round; Full detail keeps the cupola.
- Mostly hidden by neighbors
Tall buildings on every side hide most of this church, so only the roof shows from above. A larger print keeps its small features readable.
- One piece with the ground
The Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity Cathedral stands on East 74th Street (numbers 319–337) on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It is the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America's national cathedral, and the see of its archbishop. The parish dates to 1891 and counted as the Americas' second Greek Orthodox church and New York City's first. The cathedral was also the biggest church of Eastern Orthodoxy in the Western Hemisphere.
At first the parish used part of the building of an Evangelical congregation on West 53rd Street. In 1904 the parish took over a Gothic Episcopal church, 153 East 72nd Street, which burned down in 1927. Land was bought two years afterward, and a new Byzantine-style church went up for $577,000. Eleanor Roosevelt laid the cornerstone on September 14, 1931, and the parish moved in on March 4, 1932. The cathedral was consecrated on October 22, 1933, by Patriarch Athenagoras I of Constantinople. The Cathedral School was established in 1949, and in 1962 the church received designation as the archdiocesan cathedral.
