4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Four slender front columns
The portico columns are the thinnest parts of the facade. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them at larger sizes. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm keeps them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Babylon Town Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Babylon Town Hall takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Babylon Town Hall
Suffolk County, New York, is home to Babylon Town Hall, a civic building within the Incorporated Village of Babylon. People also call it Town of Babylon Old Town Hall. Construction dates to 1917, and its Classical Revival design has two and a half stories under a low hipped roof, with a cupola set in the middle of the roof.
The plan is rectangular, roughly 58 feet by 54 feet, and the front is marked by a large two-story portico carried on four Doric order columns. Town offices used the building until 1958, and district courts used it until 1979, after which it was sold. The town bought it back in June 2004 and rededicated it that October. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places came in 2005, and the Town of Babylon had put up a historical marker there in 1986.
