310 m of the Baku TV Tower, 84 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slender mast on top
A thin multi-stage mast rises above the pod and carries small rings. Print slowly with good cooling, and use Print friendly unless you print large, where Full detail keeps the full mast.
- Tall shaft and pod
The shaft is a long, narrow cone topped by a rounded pod with fine ribbing. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the pod crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Baku TV Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Baku TV Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Baku TV Tower
The Baku TV Tower is a self-supporting concrete tower for telecommunications in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was built in 1996 and stands 310 m (1017 ft) tall, or 480 meters when measured from Caspian sea level. In Azerbaijan only the chimneys of the Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant are taller, and no other reinforced concrete building in the Caucasus is taller.
The project was designed on the basis of a decision by the USSR's Council of Ministers. Construction began in 1979, and the plan called for completion in 1985. After Heydar Aliyev returned to power in 1993, work on the tower resumed, and the complex was officially opened on July 6, 1996. A revolving restaurant, 175 meters up on the 62nd floor, opened in 2008.
The tower ranks among Baku's most prominent landmarks and is a familiar sight in establishing shots of films set there. Its lighting is sometimes changed for special events, including sections lit in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag for national holidays, and special New Year lighting arrangements date from 2004.
