16 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall slab with a grid of windows
The tower is tall and narrow, covered in rows of small windows. Print slowly, use 0.12–0.16 mm layers, and pick a larger size so the window grid stays visible.
- One piece with the ground
Bethune Gardens is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Bethune Gardens takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Bethune Gardens
Bethune Gardens is a 22-story building of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), a housing project in Washington Heights, Manhattan. It occupies the area bounded by Amsterdam and St. Nicholas Avenues on two sides and West 155th and 157th Streets on the other two. Its name comes from Mary McLeod Bethune.
The architectural firm Pomerance & Breines filed plans for the development in 1964, and completion came on March 31, 1967. It was the first vest-pocket development with federal funding for senior housing. Vest-pocket projects were smaller than NYCHA's superblock projects, such as the Riis, Lillian Wald and Baruch Houses, and held only one to four buildings. On February 14, 2022, the building joined the National Register of Historic Places.
About this model
Bethune Gardens is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
