Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Mass and roofline

A broad hotel like this reads through its mass and roofline rather than any single feature. Print it larger to keep the edges crisp, or let Print friendly adapt the smaller trim.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Beverly Wilshire Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Beverly Wilshire Hotel takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Beverly Wilshire Hotel

The Beverly Wilshire stands where Wilshire Boulevard meets Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. It opened on January 1, 1928, as the Beverly-Wilshire Apartment Hotel; the developer Walter G. McCarty put it up where the Beverly Hills Speedway had stood, when fewer than 18,000 people lived in the city. Built of Carrara marble and Tuscan stone in the Italian Renaissance style, the E-shaped building was soon renamed The Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The hotel was renovated in stages from 1946 to 1957, to designs by the architect Paul Revere Williams. A ballroom went in for the big bands of the day, together with an Olympic-sized pool and championship tennis courts; Pancho Gonzalez was tennis director. A new tower wing followed in 1971 where the old pool had been, doubling the hotel's size.

Film and television have used the hotel for years. In 1990 it served as the main setting of Pretty Woman, though interiors were mostly filmed at the nearby Ambassador Hotel, and Clueless and the series Entourage also shot scenes there, as did other productions. F. Scott Fitzgerald lunched at the hotel in 1937, and Barbara Hutton spent her last years in it and died there in May 1979.

About this model

The Beverly Wilshire Hotel is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
