Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Cast-iron facade of small windows

The facade is packed with narrow window openings and decorative bands. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and a bigger print keeps more of them open.

  2. Cornice and rooftop details

A projecting cornice and a small structure sit along the roofline. Print friendly adapts these to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Bouwerie Lane Theatre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Bouwerie Lane Theatre takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Bouwerie Lane Theatre

A former bank turned Off-Broadway theater, the Bouwerie Lane Theatre stands at 330 Bowery, where the street meets Bond Street in Manhattan's NoHo Historic District. Henry Engelbert designed the cast-iron building in the Italianate style, and construction ran from 1873 to 1874. The design was made for the Atlantic Savings Bank, which was renamed the Bond Street Saving Bank while construction was still underway.

In 1879 the bank failed, and the German Exchange Bank, which catered to the German immigrant community, bought the building. Before the 1960s it held stored fabrics. In 1963, Honey Waldman converted it into a theater, and the Jean Cocteau Repertory Theatre made it home from 1974 to 2006. Plays staged there included The Immoralist (1963) and Dames at Sea (1968).

New York City designated the building a landmark in 1967, and the National Register of Historic Places followed in 1980. The architecture guidebook AIA Guide to New York City describes it as among the most sophisticated cast-iron buildings. In 2007 it was bought for conversion into a private home, with retail space along the Bowery frontage.
