84 m of the Broad Exchange Building, 23 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Crowded by towers
Taller towers press in on every side, so the building is best seen from the north and west. A larger print size keeps its narrow facade details.
- Fine window grid and cornice
Small windows run in neat rows up the facade, ending in a projecting cornice. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps those lines crisp; Full detail keeps every one.
- One piece with the ground
The Broad Exchange Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Broad Exchange Building takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Broad Exchange Building
Clinton & Russell designed the Broad Exchange Building, also called 25 Broad Street, in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, and it was built from 1900 to 1902. It stands in Lower Manhattan's Financial District, at the corner of Exchange Place and Broad Street. The Alliance Realty Company developed it as a speculative project for office tenants. It rises 84 m (276.55 ft), and sources differ on whether it has 20 or 21 stories.
Its design echoes a column, with a base, a shaft and a capital. Rusticated granite blocks clad the lowest three stories, brick clads the fourteen-story shaft, and granite and terracotta finish the top stories under a copper cornice. A steel frame let it rise higher than most earlier buildings, and caissons reaching 40 feet (12 m) down support it on bedrock. It had rental space totaling 326,500 sq ft (30,330 m2), which made it the largest office building in Manhattan at its completion.
Its closeness to the Stock Exchange building drew many financial firms looking for space. The building was gutted and turned into apartments in the late 1990s. It joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, and the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission made it a city landmark in 2000. It also contributes to the Wall Street Historic District.
