8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Arches and a ribbed roof
Double-height arches, pilasters and a ribbed roof give the model fine, repeated lines. Full detail keeps them on larger prints, and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps the arches crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Brooklyn Trust Company Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Brooklyn Trust Company Building takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Brooklyn Trust Company Building
The Brooklyn Trust Company Building combines a bank and residences at 177 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. It was built for the Brooklyn Trust Company between 1913 and 1916, and it faces three streets: Montague, Clinton and Pierrepont. The bank acquired the neighboring Brooklyn Club clubhouse in 1913 and built its new headquarters in two phases, finished by September 1916.
York and Sawyer designed it in the Renaissance Revival style, modeled on the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, Italy. The three-story base is clad with rusticated stone blocks. Arches two stories high face all three streets. The fourth and fifth floors work like a loggia, their windows separated by pilasters, and the roof is Spanish tile.
Inside, the rectangular banking room by Clinton Street has Cosmati marble floors, walls of yellow-beige marble and a colorful vaulted ceiling. Twelve condominium apartments fill the upper stories. Both the facade and the interior hold New York City landmark designation, and the National Register of Historic Places lists it too.
