About Building Number 29
Building 29, a historic aircraft hangar, sits on the west side of Walnut Ridge Regional Airport (Lawrence County, Arkansas), at 162 North Beacon Road. Its large metal frame dates from 1942 and follows the standard DH-1 Army plan used for hangars of its kind. A small brick office cell has been added at the rear, which is the side facing the street.
The hangar belonged to America's home defense effort in World War II. Walnut Ridge was a military airfield from 1941 to 1946, and four such hangars were built there; this is the only one to survive virtually unaltered. Few such buildings remain in Arkansas, and this one is among them. The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 2012.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Twin arched roofs
- Two broad arched roofs sit side by side. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the curves smooth, which matters on a low, wide model like this.
- Door panels and small windows
- Narrow door panels and rows of small windows run along the walls. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
- Building Number 29 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Building Number 29 takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
