About the C.T. Hayden House
The historic C.T. Hayden House at 100 S. Mill Ave in Tempe, Arizona, is also called "La Casa Vieja", or sometimes "The Old House". It is described as the Salt River Valley's oldest occupied structure; the valley is also called the Valley of the Sun. The house was built in 1873 and originally belonged to Charles Trumbull Hayden, the founder of Tempe, and Carl Hayden was born there.
The home began as a 13-room structure in the Mexican adobe style, and two more rooms had been added by 1876. A later renovation added six rooms to the main level plus a second story of two rooms. After the family left in 1889, it was a boarding house until 1924.
A 1924 renovation turned the house into a restaurant. Workers removed the second story while restoring its adobe-style features. Sallie and Mary Hayden owned it until they sold it in 1930, and Leonard Monti bought it in 1954. His restaurant, Monti's La Casa Vieja, closed in 2014.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|

| 200 mm | 2 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Very small, low building
- The house is long and low, so the model is small. A larger print size keeps its roof edges and doorways readable, and Full detail suits larger prints.
- Roofline with a raised edge
- A raised section marks part of the roofline. Print friendly adapts small details like this to the print scale; a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The C.T. Hayden House is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The C.T. Hayden House takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a C.T. Hayden House STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The C.T. Hayden House grows with the print: about 1 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
