Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Boxy, irregular massing

The model is a cluster of blocky volumes at different heights. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the stepped roofs crisp, and a larger print keeps the small rooftop boxes.

  2. Decorated front and stairs

The street front has fine window trim, and thin outdoor stairs climb one side. Print friendly adapts these thin parts; Full detail keeps them and suits a larger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Capitol Theatre, Port Chester is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Capitol Theatre, Port Chester takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Capitol Theatre, Port Chester

In Port Chester, a village in Westchester County, New York, stands the Capitol Theatre, a historic venue with 1,800 seats. The architect Thomas W. Lamb, known for his theaters, designed it, and it dates from 1926. Over the years it has been a movie house, a catering hall and a concert venue.

Vaudeville and cinema were the original uses, and films kept playing until 1970. The front part rises three stories and contains three storefronts, the entrance, and two floors of offices. Nine bays wide by four deep, it has a hipped roof with the top cut off and a terracotta cornice for decoration. Behind it, the theater building is irregular in form, from four to seven stories high.

A 1970s renovation turned it into a performance space. Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead were among the acts, and the Grateful Dead played 13 dates there between 1970 and 1971. In 1984 the building earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. Later it was used for catering and special events: the lower-level seats came out, leaving room for 600 people at tables, plus a dance floor. It reopened as a concert venue on September 4, 2012; Bob Dylan was the first act.
