4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Dormers and chimneys
Several small dormers and tall chimneys sit on the hipped roof. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every one on a larger print.
- Columned portico and balconies
The front portico has slim columns, and small balconies sit above it. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Casa Belvedere is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Casa Belvedere takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Casa Belvedere
Casa Belvedere is a center for Italian studies and culture. It is housed in the Stirn House (Louis A. and Laura Stirn House), 79 Howard Avenue, on Staten Island's Grymes Hill. Built in 1908, the mansion follows an Italian Renaissance style with Arts and Crafts detailing. It has two and a half stories of stuccoed masonry, plus a service wing of the same height and an attached conservatory. A former garage also stands on the property.
The overhanging clay tile roof is hipped and has bracketed eaves, and the portico has Ionic columns and Doric corner piers. Several families lived in the house over the years, and for several years it was the official home of the Wagner College president. The city declared it a landmark in 2006, and in 2010 it joined the National Register of Historic Places.
Gina Biancardi and Luciano Rammairone bought the house in 2008. Two years later their family founded Casa Belvedere there, and a newly formed group, the Italian Cultural Foundation, received the house as a donation. A $5 million renovation then ran for 15 years, paid for by the Save America's Treasures program, private donors and the city's Department of Cultural Affairs. It included accessibility upgrades, structural reinforcement and restored architectural details.
