  1. Towers and small details

Towers and wall details are small features at print scale. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every modeled feature on a larger print or with a fine nozzle.

  2. One piece with the ground

Castel Nuovo is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Castel Nuovo takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Castel Nuovo

Castel Nuovo, often called Maschio Angioino or the Angevin Keep, is a medieval castle in central Naples, Campania. It faces Piazza Municipio and the city hall. First erected in 1279, it ranks among Naples' chief architectural landmarks, and kings of Naples, Aragon and Spain used it as a royal seat up to 1815. Charles I of Anjou wanted a new castle near the sea, and construction finished just three years after it began.

The castle became an important cultural center under Robert, King of Naples, who took the throne in 1309. The writers Petrarch and Giovanni Boccaccio stayed there, and Giotto painted the Palatine Chapel in 1332. On December 13, 1294, the Main Hall was the scene of the abdication of Pope Celestine V. The castle was looted more than once, and Charles VIII of France looted it in 1494 on his expedition.

In 1443 Alfonso V of Aragon established a court in the castle and entrusted its rebuilding to the Catalan architect Guillem Sagrera, who used the Catalan Gothic style. Its five round towers reiterate its defensive role, and the Main Gate was rebuilt in the shape of a Triumphal Arc by Francesco Laurana. The works began in 1453 and were completed in 1479. The complex also houses the civic museum, including the Palatine Chapel.

About this model

Castel Nuovo is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
