112 m of the Cathedral of La Plata, 31 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Spires and pinnacles
Spires and pinnacles are the most fragile parts of a Gothic-style print. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; larger prints and 0.12–0.16 mm layers keep them crisper.
- One piece with the ground
The Cathedral of La Plata is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Cathedral of La Plata takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Cathedral of La Plata
The Cathedral of La Plata, or Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, is a Neogothic cathedral in La Plata, Argentina. It faces Plaza Moreno, the central square, and the City Hall, at the geographical heart of the city. Its design was inspired by the cathedrals of Amiens and Cologne, with plans drawn by the architect Ernesto Meyer while the city planner Pedro Benoit directed.
Its cornerstone dates from 1884, and in 1902 it was consecrated as a parish church, Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. It was designated a cathedral in 1932. In the 1930s workers halted construction, fearing the foundation was insufficient for the planned weight, and the spires were left unfinished with the exterior brickwork undressed.
A restoration and completion plan in the mid 1990s strengthened the foundation and completed 800 needles, 200 pinnacles, six turrets and two spires, and a 25-bell carillon was installed. The exterior was left as exposed brick, which makes the cathedral resemble the brick Gothic churches of northern Europe, such as Sweden's Uppsala Cathedral. Its towers, 367 feet (112 m) high, rank it among the Americas' six tallest churches.
About this model
The Cathedral of La Plata is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
