Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A very slender central spire

The tall spire narrows to a cross at its tip. Print friendly adapts the thinnest part to the print scale; Full detail keeps it for larger prints. Print slowly with good cooling.

  2. Pinnacles and pointed windows

Many small pinnacles rise around the roofline, and the walls carry tall pointed windows. A larger print size and a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep these details crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City

Garden City, New York, has the Cathedral of the Incarnation as its centerpiece, and the town is described as America's first cathedral town. The church serves the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island as its cathedral. It was built to honor Alexander Turney Stewart, a 19th-century merchant who championed development of the community. It is the sole cathedral in the United States with a single benefactor, and the only one built in memory of one individual.

In 1869 Stewart bought Hempstead Plain land, roughly 7,000 acres of it, at $55 an acre, and that land became Garden City. Stewart died in 1876, and Cornelia Clinch Stewart, his widow, resolved to put up a church as his memorial. After consulting Long Island's first Episcopal bishop, Abram N. Littlejohn, she agreed it should be the diocesan cathedral, so Episcopal life shifted from Brooklyn to Garden City.

Henry Harrison of New York City designed the cathedral, Stafford Drowne planned the windows, and the builder was James L'Hommedieu, who came from Great Neck. Ground was broken in 1876, and the cornerstone followed in 1877. Bishop Littlejohn consecrated the cathedral on June 2, 1885. The project also took in a boys' school, a girls' school and a Bishop's House with 32 rooms. It stands as a significant example of Gothic Revival architecture from the 19th century.
