Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Small among tall towers

The building is small beside the towers around it, so its fine detail is tiny. Print friendly adapts thin parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, better at a larger size with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Century Building, Union Square is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Century Building, Union Square takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Century Building, Union Square

Formerly also called the Drapery Building, the Century Building, designed in the Queen Anne style by J. William Schickel, stands at 33 East 17th Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue South, in Manhattan's Union Square district. Arnold Constable & Company built it in 1880 and 1881. It has five floors under an attic of one and a half stories. Its L-shaped footprint stretches north across the full width of the block, giving it a second address on East 18th Street.

The Century Building was conceived as a speculative project with no anchor tenant. Construction began in April 1880 and ended in March 1881, at a total cost of $300,000. The Century Company, publisher of St. Nicholas Magazine for children and The Century Magazine for adults, was an original tenant and kept its headquarters there from 1881 until 1915. The name Century Building probably caught on after the company put up a rooftop sign in November 1882.

Few commercial buildings in New York City use the Queen Anne style, and terracotta moldings and panels were unusual for such a building in its day. The three-bay main facade faces 17th Street and includes a second-story oriel window, an off-center entrance, stone reliefs, ornate ironwork and decorated brick pilasters. The facade was restored in 1994 and 1995. New York City designated the building a landmark in 1986, and National Register of Historic Places listing followed in 1997.
