Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Slender front columns

The entrance has slender columns with ornate capitals under a pediment. Print friendly adapts thin columns to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, better at a larger size.

  2. Balustrades and small crosses

Short balustrades and tiny crosses line the roof edges. Printing slowly and a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm help keep these small parts clean.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Church of Notre Dame is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of Notre Dame takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Church of Notre Dame

Morningside Heights, Manhattan, is home to the church, at 40 Morningside Drive, with its rectory at 405 West 114th Street. Notre Dame is a Roman Catholic parish of the New York archdiocese. A French community of priests, the Fathers of Mercy, established it in 1910, starting out as a mission of the parish of St. Vincent de Paul on West 23rd Street. Geraldyn Redmond had donated funds to them and asked for a chapel that would spread devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes.

Daus and Otto designed the sanctuary, finished in 1910. The nave, facade and rectory, finished in 1914, were by Cross & Cross, and a dome that had been planned was never finished. Archbishop John Farley dedicated the chapel on October 2, 1910. He dedicated the enlarged building on February 11, 1915, which was the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes, and in 1919 Notre Dame became an independent parish.

Under a special arrangement with church authorities in Lourdes, made from the parish's start, water from the spring there was sent directly to Notre Dame, and the church has had Lourdes water on hand continuously since. The city's Landmarks Preservation Commission made the church and rectory official city landmarks in January 1967, and the National Register of Historic Places added them on May 6, 1980. The parish merged with Corpus Christi Church in 2022.
