6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A large dome with smaller domes
A big ribbed dome rises over the church, with smaller domes around it. Print friendly adapts their edges to the print scale; a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the curves smooth.
- Arched windows and a brick facade
Rows of arched windows cover the front. Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
The Church of St. Anselm and St. Roch, Bronx is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of St. Anselm and St. Roch, Bronx takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Church of St. Anselm and St. Roch, Bronx
In Mott Haven, a neighborhood of the Bronx, at 685 Tinton Avenue, stands St. Anselm and St. Roch, a Catholic parish church of the Archdiocese of New York. The parish dates from 1891 and is run by the Order of Augustinian Recollects, after an earlier period under Benedictine monks. Byzantine Revival is the style of the present church, which went up in 1918.
Its design takes inspiration from the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey. The brick building rises about two stories and carries a large dome ringed by a series of smaller domes. Inside, Romanesque Corinthian marble columns support the interior, which is decorated with geometric mosaics. The design was credited to Gustave Steinback's firm in the 1978 AIA Guide to NYC, but the 2010 edition names Anton Kloster as the architect.
Next to the church stands a school in the Classical Revival style, four stories of brick with terra cotta accents, and the National Register of Historic Places listed both buildings in 2014. The name joins a second parish: St. Roch began in 1899 as a national parish serving Italian Catholics, and it merged with St. Anselm's in 2015.
