8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Decorated front facade
The street-facing front of the church carries the most small detail in the model. Choose Full detail for a larger print, or keep Print friendly and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm at small sizes.
- One piece with the ground
The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola
The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola serves a Roman Catholic parish on Manhattan's Upper East Side, at 980 Park Avenue, where the avenue meets East 84th Street. Jesuits run it, and the parish answers to the Archdiocese of New York.
The parish began in 1851 under the name St. Lawrence O'Toole's Church. Rome allowed the patron saint to be changed to St. Ignatius of Loyola, who founded the Jesuit order, in 1898. The present church was built between 1895 and 1900 from plans by J. William Schickel, whose firm was Schickel & Ditmars, and it was dedicated on December 11, 1898.
The church anchors a large Jesuit complex covering most of a city block between Park and Madison Avenues. Wallace Hall lies beneath the church, and the rectory and a parish grammar school belong to the same group. New York City designated the church a landmark on March 4, 1969, and on July 24, 1980 it was entered in the National Register of Historic Places.
