8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A small church among towers
The church is a narrow gabled building hemmed in by much taller blocks. A larger print size helps its roofline and small turrets stay readable.
- Gables and small turrets
Fine gable and turret detail sits at the roofline. Full detail keeps it on a large print; Print friendly adapts it for smaller sizes.
- One piece with the ground
The Church of the Most Precious Blood is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of the Most Precious Blood takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Church of the Most Precious Blood
Located in Manhattan's Little Italy at 113 Baxter Street, with a second entrance on Mulberry Street, this Catholic parish, known as Most Precious Blood, belongs to the Archdiocese of New York. It holds the status of National Shrine Church of San Gennaro. The parish dates to 1888, when it was founded as a National Parish for the swelling population of Italian immigrants in Lower Manhattan.
The Scalabrini Fathers started construction around 1891 and laid the foundation, but their funds ran dry. The Franciscans assumed the parish and completed the building in 1904. William Schickel & Company designed it as a structure in the Italian Franciscan style. Inside, the decoration is Neapolitan Baroque, and Donatus Buongiorno created thirty murals in oil paint on the walls and ceiling.
Borgia Marble Works of New York made the marble main and side altars. During the yearly Feast of San Gennaro in September, a Mass takes place at the church on September 19, the feast day, and afterward the saint's statue is carried through Little Italy's streets in a procession. The building was renovated in 1995, and Archbishop John Cardinal O'Connor re-consecrated it on February 7, 1997.
