About Circa Resort & Casino

Circa is a hotel and casino resort in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, set on the Fremont Street Experience. Derek and Greg Stevens, brothers who also own other downtown casinos, bought the Las Vegas Club on the site in August 2015. In 2016 they added the neighboring Mermaids Casino, plus the Glitter Gulch strip club, and all three buildings were demolished in 2017. Steelman Partners designed the new resort, and construction began in February 2019. Its name was unveiled on January 10, 2019, as a homage to Las Vegas history, including casino builders such as Benny Binion and Jackie Gaughan.

Topping out of the hotel tower came on June 19, 2020. It includes 16,300 m2 (175,000 sq ft) of glass paneling, and a video screen on its north side, built by Daktronics, is 228 feet in height and 52 feet in width. Pandemic disruptions led the builders to speed up work on the first five floors, which opened on October 28, 2020. They held a casino two stories high, a sportsbook three stories high, five restaurants and a pool area with six tiers. The hotel itself opened with 512 rooms on December 28, 2020, and an expansion in October 2024 raised the total to 618.

Circa stands taller than any other building in the Fremont Street area. It was the first hotel-casino newly built there since 1980. The Las Vegas City Council approved the resort in July 2018 with a height of 459 feet, after FAA concerns about height and airspace arose because the site is close to the North Las Vegas Airport. During construction, a white glass panel was installed in the wrong spot on the west side of the 30th floor. It gained an online following as the "MoDot" and was taken out days after the opening.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

A curved cap on a tall tower
The tower flares into a curved cap at the top that carries the resort's name. A larger print size keeps the lettering readable, and printing slowly helps a tall tower stay clean.
Fine ribs on the podium
The low podium has stepped terraces and fine ribbing. Full detail keeps every step, while Print friendly softens the thinnest lines; a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the steps crisp.
One piece with the ground
Circa Resort & Casino is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Circa Resort & Casino takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
