Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Decorated gable end
One end of the long roof carries the ornate front. Choose Full detail at a larger size, or keep Print friendly with a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height so that front stays crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Cuyler Presbyterian Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Cuyler Presbyterian Church takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Cuyler Presbyterian Church
Cuyler Presbyterian Church (also called Cuyler Chapel) stands on Pacific Street in Brooklyn, at numbers 358–360. Architect Edward Sargent designed it, and it was built in 1892 as a two-story rectangular building with a steeply pitched slate roof and molded terra cotta copings. In the early 1980s it became a private residence. The former parsonage dates from around 1851 and is a Greek Revival dwelling.
The church was a cornerstone of the Mohawk community in Boerum Hill, a neighborhood once called North Gowanus. After their Canadian homeland, the Mohawk named the neighborhood "Little Caughnawaga." Over nearly 50 years, most Mohawk living in New York settled within 10 square blocks of Brooklyn, and the families came from Kahnawake, a reserve in Quebec.
Many men were ironworkers, called Mohawk skywalkers, who worked on bridge and skyscraper projects in New York. The women held a variety of jobs and also built community for their families. Its National Register of Historic Places listing dates from 2001.
