About Excalibur Hotel and Casino
Excalibur Hotel and Casino, a hotel with a casino, is in Paradise, Nevada, along the Las Vegas Strip. Its medieval castle theme brings stone turrets, a moat and a drawbridge, and it takes its name from King Arthur's mythical Excalibur sword. Circus Circus Enterprises developed the $290 million property, which covers approximately 50 acres (20 ha) on the southwest corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard.
William Bennett, the company's founder, came up with the castle theme, and Veldon Simpson designed the resort. Bennett and his designers toured castles across Europe for ideas, and Simpson drew particularly on Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. Groundbreaking took place on October 7, 1988, with Marnell Corrao Associates as general contractor, and the property debuted on June 19, 1990.
The hotel's 3,981 rooms are in four 28-story towers arranged in a square. At its debut it had 4,032 rooms and counted as the world's largest hotel until the MGM Grand arrived in 1993. Tournament of Kings, a dinner show with sword fights and jousting in a medieval setting, has run longer than any other dinner show on the Strip.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Clusters of pointed turrets
- Many small pointed turrets crowd the castle at the foot of the towers. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale, Full detail keeps every one for a larger print, and slow printing with good cooling helps the fine tips.
- Curved openwork structure
- A curved, open structure of thin parts sits beside the castle on the west side. A larger print size and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep thin parts crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- Excalibur Hotel and Casino is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Excalibur Hotel and Casino takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
