18 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Domes and fine tips
Buildings of this type have curved roofs and slender tips, the parts most likely to lose definition at small sizes. Print larger or use Print friendly, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
The Eyüp Sultan Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Eyüp Sultan Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Eyüp Sultan Mosque
The Eyüp Sultan Mosque stands in Istanbul's Eyüp district, in Türkiye. Within its complex is a mausoleum said to mark the burial place of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, a companion of the prophet Muhammad and his standard-bearer. The current building, on a much older site, dates from the start of the 19th century.
Sultan Mehmed II had a mosque complex built here in 1458, only five years after Constantinople fell. Sultan Selim III ordered the structure rebuilt in 1798, sparing the minarets, and the work finished in 1800. Mahmud II later rebuilt the eastern minaret in the original style, in 1822. Its minarets predate the rest of the present building.
Ottoman sultans came here at the start of their reigns, walking the Cülus Yolu, or Accession Way, where the Sword of Osman was girded on them. The building keeps the classical Ottoman form, a central dome ringed by semi-domes, with much of its decoration in the Ottoman Baroque style. It is built mainly from white stone; some columns are white marble. The mosque remains a pilgrimage destination.
