Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Narrow gabled front

The street front is slim, with a gabled top and decorated windows. Print friendly keeps the thin front sturdy at small scale; Full detail and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm bring out the trim.

  2. Low rear annex

A long, low section runs back behind the tall front. Print slowly and keep the print size generous so the small gable details are not lost.

  3. One piece with the ground

Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 14 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 14 takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 14

Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 14 was built for the FDNY on East 125th Street (number 120), in East Harlem, Manhattan. Napoleon LeBrun & Sons designed the Romanesque building for Hook and Ladder Company No. 14. Brick and stone cover the walls, which rise four stories in most places, and a one-story annex sits at the rear.

The firm drew up 42 firehouses for the FDNY between 1880 and 1895, and this is one of several that sit mid-block. The lot is 25 feet (7.6 m) wide at the street and runs 101 feet (31 m) back. The street-level entrance is framed in cast iron decorated with fish-scale and flame patterns. The building is identical to the Engine Company No. 56 firehouse on the Upper West Side.

Hook and Ladder Company 14 occupied the current firehouse, built in 1888–1889, until 1975. Engine Company 36 then used it until 2003. The building sat empty until Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute moved in during 2016. It has a National Register of Historic Places listing and is an individual city landmark.
