Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pinnacled steeple
The tall steeple ends in pinnacles and a small cross, the thinnest part of the model. Print slowly with good cooling, and choose Print friendly, or Full detail at a larger size.
- One piece with the ground
The First Baptist Church of Ossining is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The First Baptist Church of Ossining takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the First Baptist Church of Ossining
The First Baptist Church of Ossining stands in the middle of Ossining village, New York. Built in the 1870s, the church is a Gothic Revival building of brick, crowned by a tall wooden steeple, and is described as among Ossining's most prominent landmarks. The congregation began with late 18th-century prayer meetings and is Ossining's oldest religious congregation. Its National Register of Historic Places listing came in 1973.
The building is T-shaped, of brick on a stone foundation, one and a half stories tall, with steeply pitched gabled roofs shingled in slate. The lot is ringed by a low cast-iron fence. The main entrance is in the tall steeple at the east corner of the front, and the front window is a five-part lancet window of stained glass. Quatrefoils are the principal motif of the exterior. The steeple rises in four stages to a peaked roof topped by a small Celtic cross.
Baptist prayer meetings began in 1786 at the house of Elijah Hunter, a Revolutionary War captain who founded Ossining. Within four years, 33 members formally incorporated the church, and Hunter donated land for a small meeting house at the same location in 1815. The Gothic Revival design by Brooklyn architect J. Walsh was dedicated in 1874. It cost $75,000, and the church financed it from congregation donations without a mortgage.
