7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Central tower and chimneys
A square tower with arched openings rises at the crossing, and tall chimneys stand on the side wings. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Steep roofs and many gables
Steep gables and many window openings cover the cross-shaped body. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The First Presbyterian Church of Far Rockaway is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The First Presbyterian Church of Far Rockaway takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the First Presbyterian Church of Far Rockaway
Once called the Russell Sage Memorial Church, First Presbyterian Church of Far Rockaway is a historic Presbyterian church in Queens. Olivia Slocum Sage commissioned it in memory of her husband Russell Sage (1816-1906), with whom she had summered nearby. Another commission was a large stained glass window of a landscape, a memorial piece designed by Tiffany Studio.
Ralph Adams Cram (1863-1942) was the architect. Construction ran from 1908 to 1910, producing a Neo-Gothic building with a traditional cross-shaped plan. The walls are brick with concrete trim, under a steeply pitched roof covered in slate. A parish hall and manse attach to the church. Olmsted Brothers designed the surrounding landscape, which counts as a contributing element of the site's historic significance. A National Register of Historic Places listing for the church dates from 1986.
