Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Crenellated tower tops

Both towers end in small notched parapets. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every notch on a larger print, and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps them crisp.

  2. Tall, narrow windows

The towers carry tall, narrow window slits. A larger print size keeps them readable, and printing the towers slowly helps the fine vertical detail.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Flushing Armory is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Flushing Armory takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Flushing Armory

In Flushing, Queens, New York City, stands the Flushing Armory, a historic armory for the National Guard. The castle-like structure of brick and stone was built in 1905-1906 and was designed to recall medieval military structures in Europe. State architect George L. Heins designed it.

It has a two-story administration building under a hip roof, joined to a drill shed that is a story and a half tall under a gable roof. The drill shed covers 11,400 square feet, or 1,060 m2, of open space. Both parts rest on a brownstone foundation, with load bearing brick walls above it. A five-story octagonal tower marks the northwest corner, while the northeast corner has a round one three stories tall. Both towers have tall, narrow windows and crenellated parapets.

Over its history the armory has served the National Guard, been used as a homeless shelter, and housed a gymnastics center. In 1995 the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places, as part of a group of Army National Guard armories in New York State.
