5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Corner turrets and finials
Small pointed turrets stand at the corners and along the roofline. Print friendly adapts these small parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Round-arched windows
Rows of narrow arched windows and a columned front porch cover the walls. A layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Flushing Town Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Flushing Town Hall takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Flushing Town Hall
Flushing Town Hall is a historic town hall that is also a performing arts center, on Northern Boulevard (number 137-35) in the Flushing section of Queens, New York City. Until the village of Flushing merged into Greater New York in 1898, the hall housed its government.
The brick building dates from 1862 and has two stories plus a basement and an attic, with three bays by six. Its architecture follows Rundbogenstil, the "round arch style" that began in Germany and appears in a number of American buildings from the Civil War era. The front facade has a portico of three arches, with a classical entablature and a low balustrade above. A small rear wing added in 1938 holds a block of jail cells. Early photographs show the walls painted a light color, but the paint was dropped after adhesion problems during a restoration.
New York City made the building a city landmark in 1968, and in 1972 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. A resident arts council, known as the FCCA, looks after the hall on behalf of the city and presents jazz performances, celebrating Queens as a home of jazz.
