Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Cornice and window bays

A projecting cornice and tall window bays wrap the building. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.

  2. Portico and rooftop box

The entrance portico and the small box on the roof are the finest parts. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.

  3. One piece with the ground

Founder's Hall, Rockefeller University is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Founder's Hall, Rockefeller University takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Founder's Hall, Rockefeller University

The first building on the campus of Rockefeller University was Founder's Hall, where 66th Street meets York Avenue, on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It was built between 1903 and 1906 and cost $276,000. That figure covered a powerhouse and a facility for housing animals as well. The hall contained the country's first major biomedical research laboratory.

The building has a steel frame and five stories, with an exterior of gray brick and limestone trim. Its Classical Revival styling includes broad pilasters separating the window bays into groups, plus an entrance portico supported by Ionic columns. The architectural firm Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge designed it.

The hall stands as one of the largest philanthropic efforts of John D. Rockefeller. Frederick T. Gates, who guided Rockefeller's giving from 1891, suggested a medical research institute comparable to leading European institutions of the time. In June 1902 Rockefeller committed $1 million to create it, and in 1903 he bought the former Schermerhorn estate, land at the core of the university's campus. Founder's Hall was among the campus's first three buildings and housed its principal research laboratories. In 1974 it received National Historic Landmark status.
