11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pinnacles on a tall tower
The tower's corner pinnacles and the traceried front window are the finest details. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, and a larger print printed slowly gives the pinnacles the best chance.
- One piece with the ground
The Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York
The Fourth Universalist Society is a Unitarian Universalist congregation on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Of the seven Universalist congregations once in the city, it is the only one that survives. It began in 1838 as the fourth Universalist society in New York City, following three founded in 1796, 1830 and 1832. It was first named Friends of the Final Restitution, became the Church of the Divine Paternity in 1848, and took the name Fourth Universalist Society in 1967.
In 1898 the congregation built a home, dubbed "the Cathedral of Universalism", where West 76th Street meets Central Park West. The architect, William Appleton Potter, followed Magdalen Tower in Oxford and buildings of Magdalen College closely. It is a rare example of English Perpendicular Gothic, and Frank Lloyd Wright, whose daughter married at the church, was among the architects who praised it.
Among the church's artworks are Louis Comfort Tiffany's altar, Augustus Saint-Gaudens's bronze relief, stained glass by Clayton and Bell of London and a mosaic from J&R Lamb Studios. Andrew Carnegie and his wife Louise, a member of the church, donated the organ. The congregation dedicated the tower to peace and calls it a peace tower for New York City.
