  1. Domed tower detail

The domed tower is the part most likely to lose small details in a small print. A bigger print size keeps them; Print friendly adapts thin parts, and Full detail keeps every modeled feature.

  2. One piece with the ground

The French Cathedral, Berlin is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The French Cathedral, Berlin takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the French Cathedral, Berlin

The French Church of Friedrichstadt, better known as the Französischer Dom or French Cathedral, is on Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt, facing both the Konzerthaus and the building known as the German Cathedral. The earliest parts were built from 1701 to 1705 by Louis Cayart and Abraham Quesnay for the Huguenot community. Despite the name, it has never been the seat of a bishop; Dom comes from the French word dôme, meaning dome or cupola.

Carl von Gontard altered the church in 1785 and added a domed tower beside it, and that tower eventually gave the church its name. Frederick the Great instigated the tower to embellish the Gendarmenmarkt ensemble. The tower is technically a separate structure from the church, and the two have different proprietors. Visitors can use its public observation deck to look over downtown, and it houses the Berlin Huguenot museum.

World War II left the building severely damaged, and it was rebuilt from 1977 to 1981. In 1905 Otto March refurbished the sober interior in a more decorative style that remained Calvinist. The French Church was modeled on a Huguenot temple at Charenton-Saint-Maurice in France, since destroyed. Congregations use the church, and it also hosts Evangelical Church in Germany conventions.
