About the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino
In Paradise, Nevada, 1.6 km (one mile) west of the Las Vegas Strip, the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino serves the locals' market from West Flamingo Road. Its neighbors across the street are Palms Casino Resort and Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. Its doors first opened in December 1986.
Casino mogul Michael Gaughan, who was already running the Barbary Coast on the Strip, built this one entirely from scratch, a first for him. It targeted the growing locals market in the Las Vegas suburbs, and it was the second major resort west of Interstate 15. In October 1995 an anonymous man hit a Megabucks slot machine for $10,918,881.00, the biggest jackpot in Nevada up to then.
In 2002, big renovations gave the property extra room for parking, restaurants and gaming, and its look moved from a dark, country-western hall for gambling to a more modern casino. The Gold Coast Showroom seats 490. In 2004 Gaughan joined his Coast Casinos brand, the Gold Coast among its properties, with Boyd Gaming. Tim Burton's film Mars Attacks! featured the casino.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 11 mm | 1:4,063 |
| 200 mm | 13 mm | 1:3,250 |
| 256 mm | 17 mm | 1:2,539 |

- Wide, low complex
- The casino is a long, low block with a taller wing and many small rooftop boxes. A larger print size keeps these roof details readable.
- Dense road and lot lines
- Parking lots and roads around the building add many thin lines. Layers of 0.12-0.16 mm keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a Gold Coast Hotel and Casino STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino grows with the print: about 11 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
