Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small dome and slim cross
A small dome with a thin cross sits on top of the gate. Print friendly adapts thin parts like this to your print scale; a larger print or Full detail keeps them as modeled.
- Small arched windows and round towers
Round towers at the corners carry tiny arched windows and fine cornice lines. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps these crisp, and a bigger print keeps more of them.
- One piece with the ground
The Golden Gate, Vladimir is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Golden Gate, Vladimir takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Golden Gate, Vladimir
The Golden Gate in Vladimir, known in Russian as Zolotye Vorota, was built from 1158 to 1164. It is the only ancient Russian city gate to have been preserved, though only in part. Inside, a museum covers the Mongol invasion of Russia during the thirteenth century, and the gate itself lived through the destruction of Vladimir by the Mongols in 1237.
Over time the structure weakened so much that, by the end of the 18th century, Catherine the Great feared the arch might fall on anyone passing under it. In 1779 she had precise measurements and drawings of the monument produced. The vaults and the barbican church were torn down in 1795, after long debate. UNESCO added the site to its World Heritage list in 1992.
