Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A low, wide station

The station is a wide, low subject at the default print size; a larger print keeps its outline and the surrounding scene readable. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers for crisp edges.

  2. One piece with the ground

Gotanda Station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Gotanda Station takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Gotanda Station

Gotanda Station serves the Shinagawa district of Tokyo, Japan. Three operators serve it: JR East, the private railway company Tokyu Corporation, and Toei, which runs the subway. The JR East part uses a raised island platform for two tracks; Tokyu has a second raised island platform above it, and the Toei platform lies underground.

The JR station first opened on October 15, 1911; the Tokyu Ikegami Line station followed on June 17, 1928, and the Toei Asakusa Line station on November 15, 1968. In February 2015 the Yamanote Line platforms gained chest-height platform edge doors, which began operating the next month. Station numbering arrived in 2016.

The station has a staffed JR ticket office known as a Midori no Madoguchi and a raised JR island platform. The surrounding area includes Rissho University, Seisen University, Tokyo Health Care University, the NTT Medical Center Tokyo and Ikedayama Park. The Yamanote Line serves the station, and the JR East platforms at Gotanda are numbered JY23.
