17 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Rows of small windows
The renders show a tall block covered in rows of small windows, with small structures along the roofline. Print slowly at 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep those rows crisp, or print larger with Full detail.
- One piece with the ground
The Gramercy Park Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Gramercy Park Hotel takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Gramercy Park Hotel
The Gramercy Park Hotel, a luxury property at 2 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood, sat beside the park that shares its name. The hotel was known for a rich history. It opened in 1925 and ceased operations in 2020. It stands on the sites of former homes belonging to the architect Stanford White, the political leader Robert Ingersoll and the lawyer-diarist George Templeton Strong.
Robert T. Lyons designed the hotel, and the developer brothers Bing & Bing built it in 1924–1925. Thompson & Churchill designed a westward extension on Gramercy Park North, which continues East 21st Street, and it was built in 1929–1930. The style of both wings is Renaissance Revival. In 1958 the hotel owner Herbert Weissberg bought it; he added a gift shop and doubled the size of the bar.
The hotel drew guests with its bohemian character, low prices and location. Humphrey Bogart wed his first wife, Helen Menken, there, and the Joseph P. Kennedy family stayed for several months on the second floor. Babe Ruth was a bar regular in the Great Depression. In the 1970s, its discretion drew musicians including Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
