138 m of Guangzhou Circle, 38 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Open circular core
The model has a real hole through its two circular faces, with stepped office blocks between them. Print friendly adapts the thin rim and diamond frame; Full detail keeps them for a large print.
- Facade diamond pattern
Major diagonals and four belts of triangular panels cover the faces. A larger print and 0.12–0.16 mm layers help this relief and the inner rim stay legible.
- One piece with the ground
Guangzhou Circle is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Guangzhou Circle takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Guangzhou Circle
Guangzhou Circle is a landmark tower in Guangzhou, in China's Guangdong province. Both the Guangdong Plastic Exchange and the Hongda Xingye Group are based there. The exchange trades more raw plastic than any other center, with annual turnover above €25 billion in 2012. Italian architect Joseph di Pasquale designed it.
It rises 138 m (453 ft) and has 33 stories, with 85,000 square meters (910,000 sq ft) of floor area. Chinese logographic writing inspired the design, and other meanings are linked to jade discs and fengshui. The double jade bi-disc, an ancient royal symbol, is reflected in the water of the Pearl River, and the form also suggests infinity and the numeral 8.
The two circular facades hold groups of suspended stories that square the facades' circumference to make the interior space orthogonal. The design also refers to the Renaissance idea of squaring the circle. The central core is open and has no glass, leaving an open circle with a diameter of almost 59 m (194 ft). The site lies beside the Pearl River, on the south west edge of the city.
