About the Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre
Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre, known as the East Tower, is a mixed-use supertall skyscraper located in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It is 530 m (1,739 ft) tall and was completed in October 2016. The building has 111 floors above ground and five below, and its uses are a mall, offices, apartments and a hotel. Chow Tai Fook Enterprises owns it.
The tower occupies a lot of 27,000 m² (290,000 sq ft) on Zhujiang East Road, within Zhujiang New Town, the central business district of Guangzhou, east of the central axis. Across that axis is the Guangzhou International Finance Center, 439 m (1,439 ft) tall, and the two make up the Guangzhou Twin Towers. The Canton Tower, 604 m (1,982 ft) tall, is also close by. In September 2019, an elevator here was given a Guinness World Record title for the world's fastest.
An eight-floor podium is connected to the tower and holds an atrium 30 m (100 ft) high under a glass roof. The facade is glass with vertical mullions of white glazed terracotta, which project from the windows to create shade. The shape follows the mixed use: setbacks mark the points where the offices give way to apartments, the apartments to the hotel, and the hotel to the crown. They are angled and hold parapets with sky terraces.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 144 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 180 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Very tall and slender
- The tower is far taller than it is wide. Printing slowly, with good cooling, helps the upper floors and the angled top hold their shape.
- Setbacks near the summit
- The stepped setbacks and angled crown are small features high on the tower. Print friendly adapts them to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
- The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
