Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Ornate Beaux-Arts front

The narrow front is crowded with small ornaments, window surrounds and a decorated roofline. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail on a larger print keeps more of the ornament.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Haffen Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Haffen Building takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Haffen Building

Built in 1901–1902, the Haffen Building ranks as a New York City landmark in the Mott Haven area of the Bronx. Its address is 2804 Third Avenue, also 507 Willis Avenue. It sits mid-block on a triangular plot formed by 148th and 147th Streets, Third Avenue and Willis Avenue, inside the Hub business district. At the time, a 149th Street station on the Second Avenue and Third Avenue elevated lines stood in front of it.

Matthias Haffen belonged to a prominent family, the Haffens, who founded the Haffen Brewing Company, and he worked as a real estate developer. He sought a first-rate office building for banks and professional firms. For the design he went to Michael J. Garvin, an architect who was then the Bronx Commissioner of Buildings and had been working with Matthias's brother Louis F. Haffen, the Bronx Borough President of the day.

The result was a seven-story Beaux-Arts office complex. For more than a century it was home to banks, law offices and government agencies, among them the Knickerbocker Trust Company and the Dollar Savings Bank. It has been described as a distinct structure and as a remarkably intact Beaux-Arts example.
