Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Columned portico

A projecting porch with slender columns marks the main entrance. Print friendly adapts thin columns to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.

  2. Long roof with many ridges

The roof is long and ribbed, and the walls carry rows of tall windows. A 0.12-0.16 mm layer height keeps these fine lines crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Hamilton Hall, Columbia University is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Hamilton Hall, Columbia University takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Hamilton Hall, Columbia University

At 1130 Amsterdam Avenue, along College Walk (West 116th Street), stands Hamilton Hall, a teaching building on Columbia University's Morningside Heights campus in Manhattan and the base of Columbia College. McKim, Mead & White drew it up in a Neoclassical style, as a piece of the firm's first master plan for the campus, and it was built in 1905–1907.

Funding came as a gift from John Stewart Kennedy, who had served as a trustee of Columbia College. The name honors Alexander Hamilton, a student at King's College, the original name of Columbia. Outside the entrance is a statue of Hamilton made by William Ordway Partridge. An earlier Hamilton Hall, in the Gothic Revival style, went up in 1878 on Madison Avenue, at the old Midtown campus of the college.

Columbia's move to Morningside Heights in the 1890s came with no early plans for ground below 116th Street, nor for buildings given over to the undergraduate college. Advocates for the college kept pushing, and the new hall's cornerstone was laid in 1905. It was completed in 1907, and a renovation finished in 2002. The building houses many classes of the Core Curriculum of Columbia College, and student protest movements occupied it in 1968, 1985 and 2024.
