15 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A long station building
A station of this kind prints as a long block, with roof and facade detail that shrinks at small sizes. Print it larger, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for crisp edges.
- One piece with the ground
Haydarpaşa railway station is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Haydarpaşa railway station takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Haydarpaşa railway station
Haydarpaşa station is a railway station in Istanbul, Türkiye. Until 2012 it was the main city terminal for trains serving the Anatolian side of the country, and once it was the busiest railway station in Turkey. It occupies an embankment over the Bosphorus, a little north of Kadıköy and south of the Port of Haydarpaşa.
In 1871 Sultan Abdülaziz ordered a railway from Haydarpaşa to İzmit, and the station opened in 1872, when the line already reached Gebze. The Anatolian Railway took control of both the line and the station in 1888. A larger terminal building, designed by Otto Ritter and Helmut Conu in the Neo-classical style, was built from 1906 and inaugurated in 1909. Because the station stood beside the Bosphorus, freight could be unloaded from trains and transferred directly to ships.
The station building remains the seat of the State Railways' District 1 headquarters. A fire in 2010 left the station out of use, and the closure proved controversial: the Haydarpaşa Solidarity Group has held regular sit-in protests, and a plan involving seven skyscrapers drew strong opposition. In December 2015, reintegration into the Marmaray network was approved in principle, together with the restoration of the building and platforms.
