10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Slim pinnacles and a rose window
The front has several slender pointed pinnacles and a round window with fine tracery. Print friendly keeps the pinnacles sturdy; Full detail keeps the tracery, best with a larger print and 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church stands where Central Park West meets West 65th Street, in Manhattan's Upper West Side; its address is 3 West 65th Street. The church building is a stone structure of double height above a basement, and it has a rectory. It lies in the Central Park West Historic District, which the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission designated in 1990. The congregation belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Back in 1868, the congregation split off from St. James's Lutheran Church. In the nineteenth century most New York Lutherans were German, which made Holy Trinity unusual as one of very few English-speaking Lutheran congregations. Its first church stood at 47 West 21st Street. Schickel & Ditmars, an architectural firm that mostly designed for Roman Catholic commissions and clients of German descent, designed the present building, which went up between 1902 and 1904.
According to the church's own website, Holy Trinity is best known for its Bach Vespers series, which began in 1968. It was the first place in America where Bach's cantatas were performed regularly on their appointed days, as part of worship. The church also turns up in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters, where the rampaging Stay Puft Marshmallow Man destroys it by stepping on it.
