Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Rounded corner tower and arches

The rounded corner, the arched windows and the ornate mansard roof carry the finest detail. Print friendly adapts these small parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for larger prints.

  2. Rooftop water tank on legs

A small water tank on a slim frame sits on the roof. Print slowly near the top, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep it crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Hotel Belleclaire is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hotel Belleclaire takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hotel Belleclaire

Hotel Belleclaire is at 2175 Broadway, in Manhattan's Upper West Side, where Broadway meets West 77th Street. Albert Saxe developed it. Building took place from 1901 to 1903, and it was among several Broadway apartment hotels in the neighborhood. Emery Roth, a Hungarian-American architect then working for the firm Stein, Cohn & Roth, designed it as one of his first big buildings. Its formal opening came on January 12, 1903, as an upscale apartment hotel.

Roth's design draws on Art Nouveau and Secession styles, which set it apart from big neighbors like the Ansonia and the Dorilton, both Beaux-Arts. The building is 10 stories tall and was considered an early skyscraper in 1903. Red brick forms most of the facade, with ornament in limestone, metal and terracotta. A limestone base two stories high holds the main entrance on Broadway, and a rounded tower marks the northeastern corner. A mansard roof, two stories high, with arches crowns the top.

The upper floors were first divided into apartments of one to three rooms each, and over the years these were rearranged into 262 guestrooms. In the 1920s, shops took the place of the ground-story rooms. Shimmie Horn took over its operation in 1999 and turned it into a boutique hotel. New York City has designated it a landmark.
