4 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A small building among tall ones
The theater is small next to the taller buildings around it, so its roof and facade details are tiny. A larger print keeps more of them, and a layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm helps.
- One piece with the ground
The IFC Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The IFC Center takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the IFC Center
Greenwich Village in Manhattan is home to the IFC Center, an art house cinema at 323 Sixth Avenue (also called Avenue of the Americas), where it meets West 3rd Street. The Waverly Theater was its earlier name. The historic building began life as a church early in the 19th century, and IFC turned it into a movie complex, first of three theaters and in the end of five.
It opened on June 17, 2005, with a film distributed by IFC Films. The theater can screen 35mm film and high-definition digital video. A restaurant called The Waverly was later converted into two more screens, bringing the total to five in 2009. Alongside regular showings, it hosts premieres, educational events and festival screenings, and it is the principal location of DOC NYC.
The 1968 Broadway musical Hair mentions the Waverly Theatre numerous times, among them in the song "Frank Mills". The Waverly was also where midnight audience-participation showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show began, and they ran there for many years.
About this model
The IFC Center is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
