Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Fine window and pylon detail

The street fronts are covered in small window bays and stepped trim. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, and suits larger prints.

  2. One piece with the ground

The J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building

In Queens, New York City, in the Jamaica neighborhood, stands the J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building, a historic commercial building from 1931. Jacob Kurtz founded a furniture store, J. Kurtz and Sons, in 1870, and this building was put up for one of its franchises.

It has a steel frame, and two of its sides carry Art Deco decoration. The building measures three bays by six bays, and its metal-framed windows, with a stepped pylon motif, are described as cast aluminum with geometric designs. 1981 brought designation as a New York City Landmark, and 1983 a National Register of Historic Places listing.
