About Jerry's Nugget

Jerry's Nugget, a casino for locals, is in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Two men from Greece, Jerry Lodge and Jerry Stamis, his brother-in-law, founded it, opening in December 1964. In 1968 it relocated down the street to a bigger building, at 1821 North Las Vegas Boulevard, which had housed the Bonanza Club between 1956 and 1967. Further expansions came in 1983 and 1996.

A neon oil derrick that came with the Bonanza was at one time the tallest sign in Las Vegas, and it was kept and updated with the casino's name. The $18 million renovation of 1996 grew the slot machine count from 600 to 770, and added a 95-seat theater, the Royal Street Theatre, plus the Magnolia Room, an upscale restaurant. Gaming space totals 3,020.4 m2 (32,511 sq ft), and the casino's food, desserts above all, has a strong reputation.

In 1970 the casino ordered a batch of playing cards that sat in storage for 20 years. When they were rediscovered, they went on sale in the gift shop at $1 per deck, and after the magicians Dan & Dave used them they became popular with magicians. The casino agreed in 2018 to a proposal to reproduce the cards, and reproduction decks reached sale a year after that.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes

Arched openings along the front
The low walls show rows of small arched openings. They are fine details on a small model, so use a larger print size or Full detail, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
Flat roof with small vents
The roof is flat with a raised center section and small rooftop boxes. Print friendly adapts those boxes to your print scale so they do not break off.
One piece with the ground
Jerry's Nugget is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Jerry's Nugget takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a Jerry's Nugget STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Jerry's Nugget grows with the print: about 3 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
