5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Hipped roof and rooftop box
The roof slopes down on all sides and carries a small raised box. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the roof edges crisp, and a larger print keeps the small box distinct.
- Tall window rows
Rows of tall, narrow windows mark the walls. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps more of them on a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
The Jewish Center of Brighton Beach is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Jewish Center of Brighton Beach takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Jewish Center of Brighton Beach
In Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, stands a historic Orthodox Jewish community center and former synagogue, known today as the Jewish Center of Brighton Beach. Before 1947 it bore the name Jewish Center of Coney Island. Founded in 1914 as Temple Adath Israel, the congregation was based on West 5th Street, in the Coney Island area, and took the Coney Island name when it built the community center in 1929-1930. The name changed again in 1947.
The former synagogue is a trapezoidal building of four stories plus a basement, in the Renaissance Revival style. Golden-colored stone clads the front facade, which has a grand staircase and a loggia on the second story. A hipped roof of red tile caps the building.
In 2013 the former synagogue was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Soluri Architecture was engaged to give the building, of 24,000 square feet or 2,200 m2, a more modern and practical design. The building was also featured in the 2005 film Lord of War, a crime drama with Nicolas Cage.
