About La Posada Hotel

La Posada Hotel and Gardens lies within the La Posada Historic District, in the eastern part of Winslow, Arizona, along with the Winslow Santa Fe station. Mary Jane Colter possibly designed or decorated this Fred Harvey Company hotel in 1929. In 1997 the artist Tina Mion and Allan Affeldt, her husband, restored it, and a museum of Mion's art opened inside the hotel in 2011.

The historic district at 200 East Second Street dates from 1930. The National Register of Historic Places listed it on March 31, 1992, covering 4.5 ha (11 acres). Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival are the styles of its buildings, which qualify on architectural grounds. Three buildings, a site and another structure count as contributing.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Low wings and shallow roofs
Several two-story wings with shallow roofs stand side by side. A larger print size or Full detail keeps the roof lines and window rows from blurring together.
Small garden paths
A small circular garden path sits in front of the building. Print friendly thickens thin ground details so they print cleanly at small sizes.
One piece with the ground
La Posada Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. La Posada Hotel takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a La Posada Hotel STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. La Posada Hotel grows with the print: about 4 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
