About Las Vegas City Hall

Local government in Las Vegas, Nevada, is run from Las Vegas City Hall. The building stands downtown, and its principal doorway opens onto Main Street. Forest City Enterprises built it to take the place of an earlier building that had been in use since 1973. Its floor area is 29,000 square meters, spread over seven floors, and it opened in 2012.

The design is described as highly sustainable. Environmentally friendly features include 33 solar trees that produce energy, along with solar panels on the roof that cut energy costs. On the front facade, a programmable LED light display can show various patterns at night.

The city runs on a council-manager system. The mayor holds a seat on the council at large and chairs every city council meeting, with the Mayor Pro-Tem taking over when the mayor cannot. Administration, along with daily running of every municipal service and city department, falls to the City Manager.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes

Angled, braced facade
The facade is angled, with fine fins and diagonal bracing. Larger prints and 0.12-0.16 mm layers keep these lines crisp.
Curved low roof
A low, curved roof wraps one side of the building. Print friendly adapts its thin edges; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Las Vegas City Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Las Vegas City Hall takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a Las Vegas City Hall STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Las Vegas City Hall grows with the print: about 12 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
